Between Cultures:

An Artistic Expression

of Asian American Identity

Between Cultures is an online exhibition of visual and written works created by Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. It aims to share their identities with the world in the hopes that others will be able to connect, relate, and understand.

Historically, AAPI have largely been excluded from the race discussion in America. As such, the dehumanization of this group persists, leading to racist stereotypes and even acts of violence against the community.

Through this exhibit, artists seek to humanize the AAPI experience, expressing through art their joys and fears and realities of living between cultures.
