Growing up, I always struggled with my eyes. Bullied, battling with internalized racism, and having no source of empowerment in my beauty, I always felt ugly. In this comic, I reflect on those moments in my childhood where I wished so badly to be White. In my work, I often revisit my past to view it in a new light. In this piece, I share a story to embrace that part of myself.
