(In)Visible Me is a self portrait. It is partially obscured because I feel at times invisible in America. People don't see me. And I don't see myself, certainly not many men that look like me in positions of influence and power, certainly not in the media. But the painting is also saying, "Look at me. See me. I am here. I am a full human being. And I am visible."
