Banana (n, informal, derogatory): a person of ethnic Asian descent who has assimilated so deeply into mainstream Western (particularly American) culture that they have supposedly lost touch with their Asian culture.
But to the dragon, the slur no longer weighs her down. She is shedding the peel of the banana as nonchalantly as a snake sheds its skin. She is reborn.
